Summary

My favorite exercise of this journey was the animoto. It was so easy to do. This class has affected my life by giving me different options on how to be a teacher and coach. For example I will use blogs to get information, use podcast for information,etc. Before I took this class I only went to yahoo and google for info. There were not any suprises for me becuase I did not know much to begin with.I like the program and the concept becuase I was able to do this at my own pace and did not have to feel uncomfortable in a room full of people wandering if they knew more about the subject than I did. I would definelty particpate in another prgram like this one. I will definelty use this class as a start for any information that I need in the classroom life.

I have learned so much from blogging. Commenting on a blog is essential because the blog can not really exsist unless people are commenting. When you comment you communicate and that in itself creates a sense of community because you are talking about things that you agree about or disagree with. I learned that it is important to not be negative on a blog or make short comments. But it is important to have a sense of humor. I commented on Kathleens log about loving google, Mandy's mailbag on the great songs she had on there, Dorans documents on the mosaic maker, A teachers summer on the cartoon tutorial and 50 days on how easy animoto was. I also blog on Texas Hoops and Hoopgurlz. These are baksetball sights that talk about different teams and players.

Thing 23

I totally did not understand the cartoon tutorial because I could not keep up with the words. I know I am slow:) But I sorta got the 14 days and after 17 years you can use something. But if I really need something I will use the Creative Commons website that I looked at for this thing. This is topic that every teacher should be familar with because we are always looking for and using teaching material. I listened to media fly healthy fitness because I like healthy magezines and health shows and this show has specific topics about eyecare and how to stay in shape while on vacation. The link fo the show is above. I do not think I will create a podacast but I wll definetly use the podcast directory like I did on this thing because they have alot of topics that I would be intrested in. I will use it for my Physical Education class to look up topics related to fitness.

Thing 21

This is so cool. As soon as I get my camera back I am going to have lots of fun with this. (Only the the free ones of course:) ) I signed up. Made the clip and the 3 steps were super easy. I think it took longer to get it ready than it did for me to create it. I am going to use this as project for my team the first week of school and tell them use summer pictures and tell me about their summer. This is the best thing so far.

I love y-tube. This is one of the very few things that I already knew about before I started this course. I watch you tube all the time. This can be very valuable in a class room because there is something out there on almost every subject. I chose a video on a EX nba ref that was suppose to be sentenced for cheating. I chose this video because of basketball but I watch videos on y-tube because for some reason they are much faster than mtv.com. (You do not have to wait on the buffering)

I signed up for the MISD 23 ning network. I put a picture of Whoopi as my picture and that was very easy.I also made a comment about the class. I am am member of three social networks now. Texas Hoops, Hoopgurlz and now Misd 23 ning. I registered fr Flixster but i reeally just wanted to see what it was about anp probably will not use it in the future. All of the comments are intresting I like reading about what other people are thinking.
